Free saddle pipe tab DXF

A weld-on bolt tab whose base is cut to your pipe's outside diameter, so it sits down on the pipe instead of bridging it, with a gusset keyed into the fin through a cut slot.

402 sizes on 9 pipe sizes (3/4" to 4"), M6 to M16 bolts, in S275 steel and SS304 stainless. Every one is a free flat DXF for laser or waterjet, and every design is load-rated: F1 from 6.75 to 60.28 kN.

What's in the free DXF

True arcs, no splinesEvery curve is a real arc your CAM follows as an arc, including the saddle, cut to the pipe and not approximated to it.
Tab and gusset togetherThe fin with its bolt hole and keying slot, and the gusset with its tongue, in one flat file in mm.
The keyed gussetThe slot is the plate thickness plus 0,3 mm, so the gusset locates on assembly instead of being held square while you tack it.
Same file as the paid packThe free DXF is the exact file the engine wrote into the rated pack. It cannot drift from the drawing.

Click a length to download its DXF. The length L1 is bolt centre to pipe axis, the dimension you order by. Min. wall is the thinnest host pipe wall the rating holds on: your measured wall, not the nominal one. The sizer picks the size from your load and shows F2 for each length.

Need it rated on paper?

The DXF is the geometry. The rated pack is the proof: the STEP solid, the rated drawing (A4 vector PDF with both ratings and the load directions drawn on the view) and the FEA report (stress, deflection, factor of safety, buckling and the method).

Is the DXF really free?

Yes. Every size on this page downloads as a flat DXF with no sign-up and no payment. The rated pack (STEP solid, rated drawing and FEA report) is the paid part, R175 including VAT.

What is a saddle pipe tab?

Which pipe sizes are covered?

Pipe outside diameters Ø26,9, Ø33,7, Ø42,4, Ø48,3, Ø60,3, Ø76,1, Ø88,9, Ø101,6, Ø114,3 mm, that is 3/4" to 4" (DN20 to DN100).

What does F1 rated mean?

F1 is the radial pull, straight away from the pipe, that the design is rated for, from 6.75 kN to 60.28 kN across this range. The bolt is the fuse. The smaller push into the gusset (F2) is on each part's rated drawing. Pulling away from the gusset, or across the fin, is not rated.

Is the free DXF itself rated?

The DXF is the geometry only. The rating covers the design and is documented in the rated pack. Making, welding and fitting the part are your check, and so is the host pipe.
